<p>That is a great question and comes up quite often.  For me personally this journey has been a complete change of lifestyle and I am hoping that as a TeamBeachbody coach I can help you get the same outcome.  Were my results optimal after my first 90 days?  Absolutely not.   Were they after my second round of P90X?  Definitely!   But, does it end there?  No it does not for me and I am hoping that for anyone involved with me and Beachbody, it is just the beginning.  I tell people that the beginning is really, really hard, but after about 3-4 weeks things start to fall into place and your workouts and your eating habits become just that&#8230;..A HABIT.  To me, that is the goal for anyone that has me as their coach&#8230;to make this a real habit and not a fad or a temporary fix.  It needs to be a new lifestyle to keep you where you really want to be for the long haul.  After your 90 or 60 days, or whatever your initial program length, you should keep on going.  Maybe, get yourself a different workout routine.  If you did P90X, maybe get P90X2 or Insanity.  If you already have a few of the workouts maybe do a hybrid, which is what I will be doing next.  I am currently working on putting together a P90X, P90X2 and Insanity hybrid (I will post the schedule in a few weeks).  To me, this helps keep things fresh and exciting and can keep you out of a rut that many of us get ourselves into.  I hope this gives you some ideas on to how to go beyond your initial program length and help keep you motivated.  That&#8217;s the idea&#8230;</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<!-- Start Shareaholic LikeButtonSetTop Automatic --><!-- End Shareaholic LikeButtonSetTop Automatic --><p>So P90X2 has been out since the beginning of the year and I have been going at it since January 6th and so far I can say that I like it very, very much.  People who have done P90X but do not have P90X2 want to know what makes it different.  From a regular people standpoint (people like me) there are few things that have stood out to me so far.  First is that it is a five day a week workout versus a six day a week workout.  Of course there are routines you can do on those other two days called Recovery &amp; Mobility which is a great stretching and foam rolling routine that is very helpful with soreness and keeping things in tip top shape.  The second big thing is Phase one&#8230;Phase one in P90X2 is core centric and you do not do one Ab Ripper X 2 routine during the whole phase.  This is because most of the routines are extremely focused on your core and abdominal area.  This will help tremendously in Phase two which is where I am right now.  The last thing that I feel is a really good thing about P90X2 versus P90X is that most of the routines are under an hour and for most people this is a huge advantage.  Like most people finding the time to exercise is a big challenge and P90X2 helps with that challenge.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<!-- Start Shareaholic LikeButtonSetTop Automatic --><!-- End Shareaholic LikeButtonSetTop Automatic --><p>For just about two years now I have been doing various workouts from Beachbody, I&#8217;ve done <a title="P90X" href="http://www.teamzapthefat.com/programs/p90x/" target="_blank">P90X</a>, <a title="Power 90" href="http://www.teamzapthefat.com/programs/power-90/" target="_blank">Power 90</a> and <a title="Insanity" href="http://www.teamzapthefat.com/programs/insanity/" target="_blank">Insanity</a> and now I am doing <a title="P90X2" href="http://www.teamzapthefat.com/programs/p90x2/" target="_blank">P90X2</a>.  I have only done Beachbody workouts, I have not been to a gym other than to plug in my laptop and use their weights to do my Beachbody workout in years.  I personally think that going to a gym can be extremely intimidating and honestly is a waste of time for a lot of people, including me.  The National Weight Control registry says that people who lose 30+ pounds and keep it off have 3 things in common? 1. They workout at home 2. They weigh themselves regularly and 3. They eat breakfast every day, Who knew?  Breakfast for me every day happens to be <a title="Shakeology" href="http://www.teamzapthefat.com/supplements/shakeology/" target="_blank">Shakeology</a> and it is just amazing.  (want a FREE sample, go <a title="Shakeology Free Sample" href="http://www.teamzapthefat.com/shakeology-free-sample/" target="_blank">here</a>)</p>
<p>The big  question is, what workout program is right for you?  Well, that really depends on where you are now (fitness wise) and where you want to be.  I personally love P90X and think that anyone, I mean anyone can do it with the right mindset.  It is a program that combines resistance training with great cardio routines, yoga and one of the best ab routines you will ever do.  Then there is this crazy thing called Insanity and boy is it crazy.  Can anyone do it, well, that&#8217;s a stretch but it can be done with a lot of breaks in the beginning but it can be done.</p>
<p>A great starter program for men and women is Power 90, my sister has lost 43lbs so far using Power 90 so it can be done&#8230;..Power 90 is what P90X grew from, Tony Horton is funny and extremely motivating in <a title="Power 90" href="http://www.teamzapthefat.com/programs/power-90/" target="_blank">Power 90</a>.  I have not done a full 90 days using Power 90 but I have done a good deal of the workouts and they are great, versatile and even intense at times but like P90X this can also be modified to work for you.  Tony is great at showing modifications so you anyone can do these workouts.</p>
<p>This is just the tip of the iceberg, there is a workout that Beachbody makes for everyone at any skill and fitness level.  Take a look at some of the other GREAT options including the new <a href="http://www.teambeachbody.com/shop/-/shopping/LMPumpBase?referringRepId=107540" target="_blank">Les Mills PUMP</a>.</p>

<p>I decided to change it up a bit and do a weekly plan post versus a weekly check in.  I plan on doing this every Sunday and make it a habit.  I hope to make this interactive to get some ideas on what your plans are for the week as well.  So for this first post I want to let you know that I will be starting to get myself familiar with P90X2 in preparation for the <a title="P90X2 Challenge" href="http://www.teamzapthefat.com/p90x2-challenge/">challenge</a> starting on January 16th.  This is going to be a great challenge for me as I am starting my next graduate class on January 9th which lasts for seven weeks and will make my schedule a bit crazy.  I plan on getting my nutrition back to the fat shredder diet of 50% protein, 30% carbs and 20% fat.  I want to get my body fat down from 12% to 9% or lower.  I also want to get down to that elusive 150lb number.  It&#8217;s been a long term goal of mine and I have yet to see that 150 on the scale.  I have been as low as 153 but I am currently at 156 and want to work hard at it.  The part of my plan that will not change from week to week is that I will be drinking <a title="Shakeology" href="http://www.teamzapthefat.com/supplements/shakeology/">Shakeology</a> every day for breakfast.  If you have not tried <a title="Shakeology" href="http://www.teamzapthefat.com/supplements/shakeology/">Shakeology</a> you must use it to get your nutrition every day.  It is not only extremely healthy but is also an outstanding meal replacement for those of you that want/need to lose weight.  Post your plans in the comments for everyone to see.</p>

<p>Hello team Zap The Fat.  Just an update on the challenge.  I hate to do this but starting any of these programs on a Thursday is just not the right thing to do especially for P90X.  I feel as though starting on Monday is the right thing so the week of the first make sure you have everything you need to get started on the 5th of December so that give everyone a few more days to get all of their ducks in a row.  For those of you that are going to be doing P90X make sure you do your fit test and take all of your measurements and do not forget to take your day 1 pictures for the challenge.  I will be available via this site, the private Facebook page or via email to help you through.  I will be transitioning over to P90X2 starting January 5th or so with the Beachbody CEO but will still be in constant contact with all of you that are starting on the 5th of December so we will go day for day through phase 1.  For the power 90 folks there is going to be support not only from me but from my sister Dale Owens who will be leading that group.</p>
<p>We are really looking forward to working with all of you.</p>

<p>I just wanted to check in today to let you know that we are working on getting our Team Zap The Fat challenges together and you all are invited.  There will be more information on the website in the next day or so.  We are going to be running two groups, one team will be doing Power 90 and the other team will be doing P90X.  Bottom line is that this is a great opportunity for you to get healthy and in the best shape of your life and on top of that there is a ton of money to be won just for working out an getting healthy.  Can&#8217;t beat that right?  We have limited each group to 5 people so get a hold of me as soon as you can so we can get you on the list.  If you are not there will be a waiting list for the next challenge.  In the mean time check out what our CEO Carl Diakeler has to say about the challenge.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<!-- Start Shareaholic LikeButtonSetTop Automatic --><!-- End Shareaholic LikeButtonSetTop Automatic --><p>One of the most popular questions I have been getting asked is when do I workout.  I&#8217;ve always been a morning person and that has continued throughout my life.  That remains true for when I workout now and for the past 150+ days.   I have always been able to get up early to do the things I want to do like surf and play golf and even the things I don&#8217;t necessarily &#8220;want&#8221; to do like go to work (ha ha).  I have found that for me the mornings are a much better time to workout.  I have turned it into a normal routine for me where I roll out of bed get dressed and just get going versus trying to fit it in later in the day, after work or even after dinner.  For me it has greatly helped me with my energy throughout the day.  After I workout I feel energized and it keeps my metabolism going throughout the day versus having to wind down and go to bed after a workout.</p>
<p>There has also been questions about doing an extremely difficult workout out on an empty stomach, I have yet to have any issues working out on an empty stomach in the morning as long as I have eaten properly the day before.  If I am not eating enough calories on the day before I workout I have had occasions where I feel a little &#8220;bonked&#8221; at the end of a tough workout like P90X Plyo X or Insanity Max Cardio Circuit but otherwise I have not had any issues.</p>
<p>Another good thing about doing your workout first thing is the morning is that when you are done, get cleaned up and sit down for breakfast or are having your <a title="Shakeology" href="http://www.teamzapthefat.com/?p=33" target="_blank">Shakeology</a> (you know this is my favorite thing) I know that I already burned up to 800 calories for that day.  I have no concerns about when or how I would do my workout later.  If you are looking to lose some stubborn fat or get in the best shape of your life like me try working out first thing in the morning.  It has helped me tremendously and I am sure it will help you.</p>
